Come sit by the fire and let the Abbey Rogues take you back to a simpler time and place.
Let lush sounds of the fiddle and flute surround you with visions of how it could have been,
while the guitar gently rings your troubles away.
HISTORY
The Abbey Rogues are an acoustic band performing music from the British Isles and
Eastern Europe, with a sound that combines traditional Irish with period English
sounds reminiscent of John Renbourn and Steeleye Span. Combine that with the odd
Russian or Bulgarian instrumental, and musical backgrounds ranging from classical
to bluegrass, and you have an eclectic mix that will please
the most discriminating palate.
In 2001 we recorded a CD called "Loch and Quay" under our previous name of
Bedlam Abbey, with somewhat different personnel.
We have played at many places along Colorado's front range, including Stella's
Coffee House, the Longmont Art Walk, and the University Club in Denver.

- Mark Brissenden: fiddle, octave mandolin, vocals
- Michael Engberg: guitar, bass, percussion, vocals
